The Germantown Avenue Crisis Ministry provides food, fuel, clothing, housing and other emergency assistance to those who live in the Northwest section of Philadelphia. The Crisis Ministry is also a referral source, which provides accurate information to help connect clients to available resources.
 

 
GACM Provides:
 
Food Cupboard - packages of perishable and non-perishable items as often as every 30 days
 
Energy Assistance - as a Neighborhood Energy Center (NEC), the Crisis Ministry provides a comprehensive approach to energy and related problems for all low and moderate income consumers living in Philadelphia. GACM is also a Utility Emergency Service Fund (UESF) intake site.
 
Financial Assistance - last resort grants to eligible residents who are experiencing a resolvable crisis
 
The Benefit Bank - a program that connects all individuals with low or moderate incomes to tax credits and public benefits
 
Referrals - confidential assessments, counseling and referral services
 
Documents Required for Service:
 - Proof of residency
 - Proof of income
 - Photo ID and Social Security cards for entire household may also be required
